I've somehow managed to keep this to myself for many months. After trying this new Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt scent months ago, I literally wanted to rave about it straight away, but as it was a September launch I didn't want to tease you too early. Now that the launch is just around the corner, be prepared for a rave about my new favourite scent...
Let's start with the inspiration behind the new collection, the British Seaside. I think for anyone living in the UK, the seaside brings up so many lovely memories, whether it was that one time visit or a childhood filled with memories. The smell, the sounds, the view... beautiful. The imagery for this campaign is spot on, the styling and the makeup is so pretty it just makes me want to run along a beach in a cashmere cardigan (one can dream!).
Somehow Jo Malone have managed to bottle the British Seaside and create something so fresh and tangible. It has a slight saltiness to it with woody undertones that makes it unique. It's the perfect everyday scent, not too in your face, slightly masculine but also light.
I'm almost a quarter way through my bottle so I'm not lying when I say I love it and it's become my new favourite scent. It'll be on counters and online in September so I'd recommend going to try it out for yourself. Remember to always test it on your skin as it will smell different on everyone!
