As my Mani Month series comes to an end, let's talk a bit more about Max Factor's 100 Years of Glamour celebrations. As mentioned before it has been 100 years since Mr Max Factor himself launched Grease Paint Foundation, so this year Max Factor are celebrating by releasing new iconic imagery of Gwyneth Paltrow looks through the decades. There are four iconic looks, Audrey Hepburn from the 50s, Brigitte Bardot of the 60s, Farrah Fawcett of the 70s and Madonna from the 80s.
I picked my favourite, Farrah Fawcett to recreate at home because I love the tanned, brown smokey and sultry look. Caroline Barnes, Max Factor makeup artist gave me some top tips for recreating the look at home. The key elements to creating this look was flawless skin using the unique texture of the Whipped Creme Foundation in 'golden', the intense bronzed cheeks and temples using the Bronzing Powder in '02' and the glossy lips using the Colour Elixir Giant Pen Stick in 'hot chocolate'. I also found the Liquid Effect Pencil in 'brown blaze'really good for intensifying the eye look on the outer corners. Farrah's 70s look also includes brushed up, groomed brows and heavy lashes which I achieved by using the False Lash Effect Mascara.
"Max Factor has taken it's creative inspiration, Gwyneth Paltrow, and used make-up to transform her into glamorous heroines from varying decades. For me, Farrah Fawcett from the seventies appeals to me the most." - Caroline Barnes, Make-Up Artist
Anna channeled her inner Audrey Hepburn on Saturday, so the question is, which Gwyneth are you? Comment down below or tweet me @lilypebbles to let me know!
