Clinique Chubby Stick for Cheeks!

Despite my disappointment that Clinique's new launch isn't called Chubby Cheeks, I was excited to get my hands on these and give them a go.

This is their the latest addition to the Chubby family and this time they're a travel friendly cream blush. The concept is the same as for the lips and eyes but on a slightly chunkier scale and with only 4 shades.

Pretty much every brand is bringing out a cream blusher in this form but I wouldn't be surprised if Clinique were working on it first. I'm happy they held back and released them now so I can compare to the many I've already tried.

With the Chubby Stick for Eyes I found the domed tip to be quite awkward but for the cheeks it's a perfect fit. It's really easy to apply the product with one swipe or dab. I found blending with my fingers required a bit too much work so I opted for my Real Techniques Contour Brush and it worked perfectly. You can apply it with just your fingers, but for some reason it's never my preferred method. The idea with these is that no mirror is required so therefore the formula is sheer and creamy. Saying that though, there is decent colour payoff and it's not too sheer.

Robust Rhubarb is a pretty coral, Amp'd Up Apple is a natural rose, Plumped Up Peony is a deeper berry pink and Roly Poly Rosy is a brighter, floral pink.

What I like about these is not just the pretty flush of colour they give but they give your cheeks moisture and a subtle glow that's really flattering. Also, there's no glitter involved - wahey!!

I think Clinique Chubby fans won't be disappointed with this new launch. They're available online now for £19 each and in stores from 1st August. Will you be trying one?
