DESK BEAUTY UPDATE

I haven't done a desk side beauty edit for quite a while now and in all honesty it's because my desk has been far from photogenic with piles off mess, paper, products and empty mugs all over the place. After visiting Muji a few weeks ago it re-inspired me to have a tidy and get organised. I've kept it neat for a whole week now so I'm doing well (in my books!).

On one side of my desk I have one of the Muji wide drawers with a flip top. These are my favourite as you can easily access the top drawer by flipping the lid up and it makes things a lot easier to reach. In the bottom drawer I keep boring things like a calculator, an external hard drive and matches. On top of the drawers I usually have some kind of candle burning which at the moment is Muji's Log Fire tin candle, which smells just like Diptyque's Feu de Bois.

In the top drawer is where I keep the good stuff and it usually gets rotated quite a bit so I can try different bits. The Oskia Renaissance Hand Cream is what I'm currently reaching for and although it's a bit pricey at £21 you can actually feel the difference in quality. It sinks into the skin really quickly, smells ah-mazing (chamomile & rose) and seriously hydrates your hands. I also keep a mini Caudalie Beauty Elixir for emergency "wake me up" spritzes. I usually find my hands covered in lipsticks, foundation and everything else so I like to keep my Soap & Glory Hand Maid sanitiser nearby for a quick cleanse.

A new addition to my desk drawer is the Origins No Puffery rollerball that used to live on my skincare shelf. I found this works really well throughout the day to refresh my eyes and you can use it over makeup without it ruining your concealer. The cool metal tip glides easily over the under eye area and it's turned out to be a real pick me up in the afternoons. The final two beauty bits are my NUXE Reve de Miel lip balm which I've fallen back in love with and my Aromatherapy Associates Deep Relax Balm. The Deep Relax scent is my favourite from their bath oils so a sniff of this or applying some to my wrists really calms me down.

So that's everything I'm currently keeping desk side whether it's an essential, a treat or in case of beauty emergencies. What beauty bits do you like to keep on your desk?
