jo malone 1 (1 of 1)

jo malone 1 (1 of 1) jo malone 2 (1 of 1) jo malone 3 (1 of 1) Ask me what my top three favourite perfumes are and it's likely they'll all be from Jo Malone. It's without a doubt my favourite brand for natural, easy-to-wear scents and it's rare for me to finish a fragrance but I work my way through Jo Malone scents like there's not tomorrow. The ones I always gravitate towards are Blackberry & Bay, Wild Fig & Cassis and Wood Sage & Sea Salt. Blackberry & Bay is very clean smelling so I wear this when I want to feel refreshed and vibrant. Wild Fig & Cassis is very earthy and quite sexy I think, this is my oldest and most loved Jo Malone scent and I love wearing it in the evenings. Wood Sage & Sea Salt is light and fresh and perfect for the warmer months. Jo Malone have always been brilliant at gifting with so many options for personalisation. One of the ways you can personalise a gift or make your own perfume a little more special is by engraving it. I have "Lily" engraved onto one of my fragrances (you can have up to 30 characters) but you can also have initials engraved onto the lid. This works on their colognes and home candles. The lovely people at Jo Malone have given me a special code so that if you guys want to engrave your own perfume, whether it's for you or as a gift, you can use my code and get the engraving done for free! It usually costs extra but they've waved their magic wand and given it complimentary just for us, for a limited time. You can use the code LILYPEBBLES at checkout for your free engraving and the code will be active until Friday 15th April. So if you've be thinking about it, now is the time to delve into the Jo Malone world. Let me know what you decide to get! - link

DRAW MY LIFE: MY 500TH VIDEO

draw my life 2 (1 of 1)

I can't believe I've uploaded 500 videos onto YouTube! What an achievement! I haven't been a YouTuber for quite as long as some but I threw myself into it and uploaded 3 videos a week for quite some time. I started uploading videos in January 2012, two years after starting my blog and it changed everything. I found being able to talk about things instead of just type was so satisfying. I loved that you guys were able to see my personality and I just knew straight away that it would change everything. Since day 1 I've tried to always push myself to learn new skills, try new things but stay true to what I believe in and always put you guys, my audience, first.

I've always had an invisible line between my work and personal life, sharing just enough but very much keeping a lot for myself. In this video I literally draw out my life for you. There's obviously a lot missing, it's hard to get 28 years in such a short space of time and I didn't feel it necessary to talk about some of the more personal things that don't just affect me. I really hope you enjoy it though, it was a difficult one to execute!

Thanks so much for watching all my videos and for sticking with me. Here's to 500 more videos!

I'm always a fan of the Charlotte Tilbury launches but this one in particular is not only beautiful but also has an important message behind it. The Hot Lips campaign is a collaboration between Charlotte Tilbury, 12 incredible high-profile women and the charity, Women for Women. The charity helps women survivors of conflict turnaround their lives, you can find out more about the charity here. £1 from every Hot Lips lipstick sale will be donated to Women for Women in the first two months of launching and Charlotte has become heavily involved in the charity, registering as a "sister", something anyone can sign up to do.

Hot Lips is a collection of 12 lipsticks inspired by women she personally admires; Miranda Kerr (Miranda May), Nicole Kidman (Kidman's Kiss), Salma Hayek (Salma's Secret), Kate Bosworth (Bosworth's Beauty), Laura Bailey (Tell Laura), Cindy Crawford (Super Cindy), Helena Bonham-Carter (Hel's Bells), Liv Tyler (Liv It Up), Emily Ratakjowski (Hot Emily), Carina Lau (Carina's Love), Poppy Delivingne (Electric Poppy) and Kim Kardashian-West (Kim K.W). The Hot Lips collection also includes some of her current lipstick best sellers; Nude Kate, Penelope Pink, Sexy Sienna and Very Victoria. Can we all just take a moment to acknowledge Kim Kardashian giving her name to a lipstick before even launching one herself?! Charlotte has some serious power.

I've really been enjoying wearing Salma's Secret which is a deep rose plum and great for every day wear. I'm wearing it here with my favourite outfit that you've probably seen all over my Instagram and Snapchat plenty of times!

This sweater from COS is so flattering, I don't usually wear soft pink but I'm totally in love and the silk faux shirt hanging out the bottom makes it that little bit smarter. I usually wear it with my blue, ripped Topshop Jamie jeans as I find it's less contrasting than wearing it with black jeans. I love the casual vibes that ripped jeans give and wearing them with my new Gram shoes keeps it smart casual and not too scruffy. I picked up these Gram shoes in Amsterdam along with the rings and I'm so in love. They're really comfortable and really bridge the gap between smart shoes and trainers - it's officially love!

I'm also a big fan of navy with blush pink so I usually wear my Strathberry of Scotland bag which is the perfect size and definitely one of my favourite bags in my collection. We popped into The Detox Kitchen to get a juice, if I had to pick my favourite it would be the one with Carrot, Apple and Beetroot - it's so delicious! My nail polish is Essie "Cocktail Bling".

I've linked everything below in case you want to check them out - The photos were taken by Amber-Rose, let me know what you think!

*This blog post is part of a paid for advertorial with Cult Beauty

I'm so glad that after months and months of planning I can finally announce that Anna and I have teamed up with one of our favourite online beauty stores, Cult Beauty, to create a bespoke box full of our favourite products.

I've always loved Cult Beauty and it's founder Alexia Inge for offering unique, interesting and exciting beauty products. She travels the world finding new brands to add to the site and her passion for beauty is something that's had me going back to the website time and time again to haul my heart out!

So what's a Cult Beauty Box you ask? A one-time, limited edition box that Anna and I have both personally designed and filled with our absolute favourite products from the website. Before I go through the products, let's talk about the really important stuff that you need to know if you want to get your hands on one of these boxes.

The box includes 7 products and will cost you £85 to purchase, which means you're making a 43% saving!

To be one of the first to find out more and purchase the box you must sign up to the wait list here. Once you're on the wait list you will receive an email on 29th April from midday and then you can purchase your box via the link in that email!

Note that the box is available for free international shipping - yippee!

We wanted to pick out some of our favourite products for the box and ensure you guys were getting really good either full size or travel size minis. So let's start with the FIVE full size products...

The Oskia Rennaisance Cleanser had to go in as it's both of our favourite cleanser. I use this morning and night, it's a gel to oil cleanser that removes all makeup and leaves your skin feeling refreshed and hydrated.

The Wet Brush is a life changing product for me. It may just look like a simple hair brush but this thing is magic and will literally get through the knottiest hair! My curly, frizzy hair would be impossible to brush if I didn't use this and I have one in every size!

The Jade Face Roller is a funny little tool that you wouldn't necessarily know what to do with it at first, but this is a game changer for your skincare routine. The roller is made of pure jade and has been used in Chinese medicine for centuries. Use this on your face to help to aid lymph drainage and blood flow, eliminate puffiness, to tone facial muscles and to plump out wrinkles. Cult Beauty recommends also storing it in the fridge and using on your temples to ease headaches and hangovers.

The Pixi Milky Mist is a product we both fell in love it when it first launched. Mine lives on my desk and I spritz my face with it throughout the day. Unlike some face mists, I find this one super hydrating as it includes Hyaluronic Acid so it leaves a gorgeous glow on your skin. I use it both on bare skin and as a makeup refresher!

The Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Black is must-have for your makeup bag. You all know I love the Tom Ford liquid liner but this Stila one would be my alternative and more affordable pick. The brush tip is long enough to make application easy but firm enough to prevent any mistakes. It's jet black and looks great either thinly lined above the lashes or cat flicked to the extreme! Black liquid liner is a classic makeup look that every one should try.

The Becca Backlight Priming Filter in this cute, travel-size packaging made me squeal with excitement when I first saw it. Anna and I both use this almost daily either under foundation or mixed in with. It's glowy, sheeny but not at all glittery. My skin is quite dry so this is the quickest and easiest way to add a bit of glow back into my skin. Becca is the absolute best brand for getting that Australian natural glow.

The Sunday Riley Luna Oil is also a staple in my bathroom cabinet. It's a night oil that includes retinol and blue tansy, a duo that really seems to get my skin in order when it's not looking it's best. It helps battle with the damage and free radicals your skin experiences during the day and overnight helps to smooth and plump the skin leaving it luminous. I find this works amazingly on my skin and this generous deluxe size will be coming with me on all my trips!

So those are all the products and all the info you need to know. I think this is an incredible box and I'm so happy that we can finally announce it! Don't forget to sign up to the wait list if you'd like one and then keep an eye on your emails on 29th April! Thanks for all your continued support and please let me know what you think about the box? cult beauty box

Last week my mum and I were lucky enough to spend two days at Soho Farmhouse with Bobbi Brown for their bridal press event. I took so many photos of the beautiful surroundings, which I'll post on here tomorrow and I filmed a video which will be up tonight on my YouTube channel. I've been to Soho Farmhouse once before but this time, as I was able to share it with my mum, it felt even more special and we really soaked up the experience.

We did some serious chilling out, took full advantage of the spa and drooled at the wedding venue setup. It was a great opportunity to meet Cassandra Garcia, Bobbi Brown's editorial makeup artist. She flew over from New York to help host the event and I loved her pure passion and enthusiasm for makeup. She talked through the bridal makeup looks shown at the Jenny Packham and Marchesa shows, one very subtle and light, the other more smokey and sultry. She also answered some bridal makeup queries and gave some very useful tips!

Pick long-wearing formulas that don't crease, fade or run; look for key phrases like - long-lasting, all-day, 12 hour wear and anything water-resistant or waterproof.

Prep the skin for staying power, which means leaving facial oils, rich eye creams and slippery serums on the shelf.

If you're new to makeup, visit a makeup artist at your local department store; they should be able to show you what products and tools you'll need for the big day.

Whether you're planning on doing your own makeup on the big day or having someone else do it for you, I think everyone agrees it's maybe not the best time to try something new and sticking with the shades that usually work for you is key. I found the event really inspiring and enjoyable, Bobbi Brown has always been the brand for neutral, pretty, everyday (and special day) makeup.

If you are planning on doing your own makeup for the big day, or you just want to learn more about it, Bobbi Brown host a wide range of makeup lessons which you can check out here.

Last night's video was a bit of a passion project... 24 hours of experimenting and playing around with my new Canon 5d Mark iii. I've always been a photography geek... absolutely no training but a shit load of passion. As you saw in yesterday's post I spend 24 hours at Soho Farmhouse with Bobbi Brown and I spent most of the time capturing special moments in both still images and video. I hope you like the photos above and if you haven't yet seen the video, you can watch it below. Let me know what you think!

Last Friday was very different for me. Usually you'd find me at home, still in my PJs frantically trying to schedule everything for the weekend and emptying my inbox but this Friday I got all dressed up and spent the day at the CEW Beauty Awards.

CEW is a not-for-profit organisation with over 1000 members and in their words it "brings the beauty industry together to move beauty forward... they lead the conversation, nurture careers, recognise brilliance and shape the future of beauty". CEW (Cosmetic Executive Women) was founded in the fifties and has so much history so I'm honoured to have recently become a member.

My first CEW experience was a great one as I attended the annual beauty awards where recognition is given to the amazing brands and products that we all obsess over daily. Some of my absolute favourites won awards like Charlotte Tilbury, Aromatherapy Associates, Neal's Yard Remedies and Liz Earle.

I knew the event would be full of inspirational, powerful women so I wanted to dress up for the occasion and it seemed like the perfect opportunity to wear my new Jigsaw jacket. The Jigsaw Column Jacket is part of their tailoring collection, so it fits perfectly and looks beautiful from all angles. I've been looking for a white structured blazer or jacket for a while and although it completely scares me (I got lipstick on it soon after these photos were taken) I think it looks so smart and sophisticated to wear in the spring.

It's a statement piece so I simply wore it with my River Island lace detail shirt, Topshop Jaime jeans, Topshop boots and Saint Laurent bag. I'm in love with this look, although I'll definitely be saving it for the smarter and drier days in London (excuse the car park photos, it was pouring with rain!). Thanks to Anna for the photos, check out the Jigsaw jacket here and for some other styles see below.

I've had so many questions about my Ivy Park purchases since I shared a photo on Instagram. To be honest, I wasn't aware that the brand was launching until I stumbled across it in Topshop Oxford Circus. Ivy Park is a new activewear brand that is co founded by none other than the Queen B herself, Beyoncé.

I'm not usually one to obsess over buying workout clothes, I get the appeal but spending £80 on leggings seems insane to me so in the past I've tried to buy my leggings at discount retailers or by using discount vouchers etc. I've always agreed that a good sports bra is worth investing in (I wear this one), especially for us bigger boob girls but I also tend to buy more affordable tops and invest instead in my trainers.

The first thing I noticed, aside from the heavily branded logo (which I love!) is the affordable price point of the range. It's not cheap but it's the right price for what I think should be spent on workout clothes that get thrown through the washing machine multiple times a week... ok, maybe not multiple times a week.

A lot of the pieces were a bit too Beyoncé for me but there were definitely some good bits for those of us who like to keep covered up at the gym. I picked up two pairs of leggings, the first ones were the High Rise Ankle Leggings in black. I love my legging to be high waisted, to suck me, have comfort and be thick enough that you can't see my pants through them. These tick all the boxes, they're slightly thicker than other legging I have but super comfortable and have a slight shine to them that make me feel like a professional dancer of some kind - yeh right. The other pair I got were in the Multi print, something a bit different but I thought they were pretty cool. These are slightly more mid rise but don't slip down when working out. I got both leggings in a size Medium and I'm usually somewhere between a 10 and 12.

I couldn't not pick up this hoodie, it was screaming out to me and looked so comfortable. I tried it on and instantly fell in love with the shape and style. It's quite long so it hangs over your bum, which I really like and the material is quite thin so you can actually wear it to work out and not die of heat. I'd say this comes up quite big, I got a Medium but it fits like a Large. I also picked up one of the t-shirts in grey in a Medium. I tried on the vest tops but found there was too much of a gap on the side and that it would fly all over the place when working out. I prefer slightly more fitted clothes on top and this t-shirt is the perfect in between. It's very thin and breathable but you WILL get sweat marks, be warned. That's all I got for now but I'm definitely going to keep an eye on the brand and pick up some more bits as I was really happy with my haul. You can find Ivy Park in Selfidges (with really good model shots) and Topshop and also online on Zalando, JD Sports and Net-A-Porter. Have you tried anything from the Ivy Park collection?

Coconut Oil has been working it's way into cosmetic formulations for a while now after discovering it's health benefits and the huge trend throughout the food and wellbeing industry. This time round it's not just coconut oil making it's way into a beauty product but also coconut water. The Barry M Coconut Infusion Nail Paints incorporates both ingredients into it's new formula to hydrate and nourish the nails. The antioxidant properties help to strengthen the nails alongside the blend of Hexanal and Vitamins B & C. The formula also includes high reflective resin which is why it looks so beautifully shiny on the nails.

The caring, gentle formula requires no base coat and I used two coats although I think one would have also been fine. I really love  the formula of these polishes, it left my nails looking bright and fresh and they felt nourished and not at all stripped.

There are 9 shades available, above I have Bikini (green), Laguna (blue), Sunkissed (tan) and Starfish (nude). Each polish is only £4.99 - what a bargain!
