INSIDE MY TOUR MAKEUP BAG

I love having a peak inside people's makeup bags so I thought you might want to see what I took with me on our Beauty Chat tour. During the day I wore no makeup so I only really needed makeup for the evenings. I took the products I trust to do the right job and so I'm sure most of these won't surprise you.

For my base I chose NARS Sheer Glow for a medium coverage and slight glow but to touch up any spotty areas I used the NARS Creamy Radiant Concealer. I needed my makeup to last for 4/5 hours so I lightly used the Bourjois Healthy Balance powder on my chin, forehead and under my eyes. I used the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow to contour and highlight and NARS Deep Throat to add a bit of colour to my cheeks. To define and set my brows I used the Anastasia Brow Wiz and Clear Brow Gel as usual but for my lids I wanted to have  few options. Option one was the Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita palette and option 2 was the By Terry Ombre Blackstar in Misty Rock. For both looks I wanted black, full lashes so I also brought with the Charlotte Tilbury Bedroom Black eyeliner, the Tom Ford Eye Defining Pen, my Shu Uemura lash curlers, Tarte Gifted mascara and Clinique bottom lash mascara - wow, that's a lot of eye products.

I planned out three lip looks for the three evenings, the Sephora Lip Cream in 01, the Kat Von D Everlasting Lipstick in Bachelorette and Charlotte Tilbury's Red Carpet Red

I was really happy with all the products I picked out - I knew they'd treat me well. It wasn't the most slimmed down makeup bag but it served it's purpose.

#BEAUTYCHATLIVE vlog in Manchester, Dublin & Glasgow

This weekly vlog is a pretty special one... I wanted to document every minute of our Beauty Chat LIVE tour, mainly so I can show my grandchildren when I'm old and wrinkly. It was amazing to see our live chat idea come to life and it went even better than we had hoped.

This was just part 1 of the tour during which we visited Manchester, Dublin and Glasgow and in that time we met 150 of you and (hopefully) managed to speak to every single person. We swapped beauty recommendations, laughed at Anna's emoji confusion and did lots of Space NK shopping - myself included!

I can't wait for part 2 in a couple of weeks, but for now I hope you enjoy coming along on the ride with us and thank you to everyone who came! We had the best time.

PANCAKE HEARTS

This year Valentine's Day falls on a Saturday so it's the perfect excuse to pass on the over-priced presents and instead opt for heart shaped breakfast in bed. Since I discovered this pancake mix in M&S it's changed my pancake making experience and made flipping so much easier. So I thought I'd experiment with shapes because apparently pancake art is actually a thing... seriously, google it.

I simply combined the pancake mixture and instead of ladling it into the pan I added the mixture into a squeezy bottle, like one you'd put ketchup into. This allows you to squeeze the mixture into any shape you like and if you want to get really creative, the mixture that's applied first gets darker so you can create patterns using the different shading. Just make sure the pan is hot!

Hearts were pretty simple though and the end result is cute and yummy! Let me know if you give them a go, tweet me @lilypebbles

NEW BEAUTY LAUNCHES REVIEWED

This time of year is always crazy in the beauty world, launches here there and everywhere! So I thought I'd sit down, give some of them a go and report back with my honest thoughts. I always think it's helpful to see a new product in action and to compare a few opinions before trying it yourself. In this video you'll find reviews of products from NARS, Bourjois, Kiko and more.

I hope you find it helpful and let me know which products grab your attention!

This week has been my catch up week at home before we set off on tour again next week and it's definitely been a busy one! A highlight for me not only this week but this year was a photo shoot I had the privilege of being part of with Rankin. He's one of the most incredible and successful photographers in the world and has shot almost every famous face there is! I felt so honoured to have my photo taken by him and I had a great time on set as he made me feel completely at ease. He was actually hilarious and had me laughing most of the time. These are just photos of the computer screen but I'll post the proper photos when I get them on my Facebook page

Tomorrow night my friends and I will continue our new year's resolution and our next cuisine to try is Afghan. I'm excited to try something new and will be vlogging the evening as you all seemed to love our Ethiopian adventure!

Before I wrap this up I had to let you all know about this amazing programme I watched on TV this week - The Secret Life of 4 Year Olds. If you're in the UK you can watch it on BBC iPlayer here and I would highly recommend it. For the first time psychologists placed mics and camera in a school's classrooms and observed the behaviour of 4 year olds and it was magical. They're little conversations and fascinating behaviour genuinely had me in tears. It was so raw and I absolutely loved it!

I hope you all have a great weekend and hopefully I'll meet some of you next week during our #BeautyChatLIVE tour part 2!

CIATE: THE TREATMENT COLLECTION

I love it when brands aren't afraid to do things big and this new launch from Ciaté is definitely big.

They haven't just brought out a new top coat or nail strengthener... they've brought out a huge collection of 14 new treatments!! Beautifully housed in magnetic cardboard cases, each treatment clearly solves a problem. Weak nails? You need the Nail Gym. Dried out tired nails? You need the Nail Goddess. It's genius!

There's a solution for everything from a nail toner and elixir to keratin activator and brightener. Each treatment is £12 and the entire range will be available from March. I haven't been able to try them all yet but the quality of Ciaté has never let me down before so I'm expecting great things.

I've listed all the treatments below. Which one is your nail problem solver?

Weak Nails - Nail Gym
Short Nails - Status Grow
Dull Nails - Bloom Boost
Bendy Nails - Nail Super Hero
Paint Durability - Base Balance
Dehydrated Brittle Nails - Nail Quench
Dull Dehydrated Nails - Knight in Shining Armour
Dried Out and Tired Nails - Nail Goddess
Dehydrated Cuticles - Beautiful Cuticles

Top Coat - Speed Coat
Base Coat - Underwear Base Coat
Matte Top Coat - Mattnificent
All Nail Types - Marula Cuticle Oil
Messy Mani - Perfect Paint Job (this is a polish corrector pen)

AMERICAN BEAUTY HAUL | SEPHORA & TARGET

During my recent trip to America, as many of you would have already seen on my vlog, I did some serious shopping damage. I didn't have much shopping time and so it sort of turned into a supermarket sweep type situation. I grabbed anything new and interesting that I thought was worth trying and I'm now slowly working my way through it all.

But what's shopping without a haul video, right? I had so many requests on my vlog to do one, so here it is.... Come take a look inside my shopping bags.

THE LITTLE BLACK PRIMER

When Estée Lauder announced Kendall Jenner as their new face we all pretty much stood up and slow clapped. I personally think it was a great move and it makes the brand much more appealing to a younger audience. Lauder have some amazing products that I felt weren't really getting the limelight they deserve due to their older lady disguise.

Launched on Kendall's Instagram account first, the Little Black Primer is the first Estée Lauder product that she wanted to get behind and there's no denying she looks incredible in the campaign photos.

As always I'm here to wade through the marketing fluff and with this product I feel like there's more wading then usual. Lauder pitch this as a 3-way product that can work as a lash  primer, a natural mascara by itself or a waterproof topcoat on top of your everyday mascara. I feel almost like they made a mascara, realised it had a very natural finish and thought, let's add two more functions to make it sound like something more exciting. I really like it as a mascara on it's own though and I don't think the extra fluff was needed. It works great as a Sunday mascara or as a "no makeup mascara" as Anna so perfectly put it. Do I like it as a primer? No. Do I like it as a waterproof topcoat? No. But as a natural, everyday mascara I think it looks very pretty and it works great for me on weekends.

So if it's natural lashes you're into give this one a go but for something with more volume and impact I'd recommend the Estée Lauder Sumptuous Extreme mascara.

DISNEY PHOTO DIARY

It's become a bit of a tradition for me to do these photo diaries after my trips, despite there always being far too many photos. I just love snapping away and sharing my favourite pics!

Before I print them off and start scrapbooking I thought I'd share them on here and spread some of the Disney joy that we all experienced. Walt Disney World was magical, but you would have seen it all already in my vlog

If you haven't already, go check out some of the amazing people I went with: Lucy & Lydia, The Lean Machines and Victoria

THE BEST VALENTINE'S DAY EVER! // WEEKLY VLOG

I'm back again with another weekly vlog after having such a great weekend! I caught up with friends and family, had a 90s music Valentine's evening with Anna and Mark and then hosted a mini get together with my best friends.

Enjoy!

SHORT HAIR, DON'T CARE

You know when your hair gets to that awkward too long but too short stage? Well mine was there for quite a few weeks so the day I got back from Florida I was desperate to have a few inches cut off. The lovely Kat did a great job taking it back to above shoulder length, giving it some movement and shape.

So I've been enjoying using my favourite hair duo, the Oribe Dry Texturising Spray and Bumble & Bumble's Semi Sumo. I use the texturising spray in the roots and mid lengths of the hair and the wax throughout the ends to give it that separated, piece-y look.

I recently purchased the full size Oribe Dry Texturising Spray after always going for the more travel and purse friendly 75ml version and it's literally changed my life hair. I never thought there would be a difference but the full size product seems to work so much better in my hair. Whether there's a difference in the way the product is pressurised in the can or there's a difference because I can apply more when using the full size, I don't know what it is, but it works. I'll be buying the full size from now.

Back in my long, crispy curly hair days I never thought I'd be able to have hair this length so I'm completely loving it despite it's flaws and difficulties. If you're thinking of going short I'd say do it... It feels great!

WHAT'S IN MY HANDBAG 2015

It's felt like ages since my last 'What's in My Handbag' video so I wanted to just sit down and casually rummage through my favourite backpack. It's nothing new and I'm sure you've all seen it before but I love it and it does the job!

I hope you enjoy this relaxed video and happy Friday to you all!

This week was part two of our Beauty Chat LIVE tour and I can't quite believe it's all over. For the final part of the tour we visited Brighton, London and Nottingham and they were all equally great. Brighton was lovely as it's Anna's hometown and we stayed with her parents. My friends and family came to the London event so that was really exciting and then Nottingham was so relaxed and we loved the chilled vibe of that event. So we've now met around 300 of you whilst doing our little tour and I loved the whole experience! I really hope we do it again and visit some new places we haven't been before.

I wore two of my new purchases this week, the striped top is from COS and this navy Topshop top. I love them both but if you fancy them yourself be prepared for the Topshop top to come up HUGE... I bought it two sizes smaller than my usual size.

I'm only doing one show this London Fashion Week but I am SO excited for it. You'll hear all about it in my Tuesday video and then on Thursday you'll see my weekly vlog from the rest of our tour. Tomorrow's video is a monthly makeup routine, so I really hope you enjoy it.

Have a great weekend!

BARRY M SPRING SPEEDY PASTELS

Spring pastels! My fave!

Barry M always seem to get pastel nail polish so right, every time. Their Spring 2015 collection is no exception and this time round they've created a quick dry formula that speeds up the entire process. If, like me, you always use Seche Vite topcoat anyway then this formula won't make any difference to you but the colours in the collection are so pretty!

My favourite shades are Pit Stop which is the perfect grey, Road Rage which is baby blue perfection and Lap of Honour which is like a grown up version of Essie's Lilacism.

Each polish is £3.99 (bargain!!!) and is out now. Which one is your favourite?

MONTHLY MAKEUP ROUTINE: FEBRUARY

My January makeup routine was a little experiment to test the waters and you guys gave me some great feedback! So I decided to continue with the series and this month's routine is the one I wore throughout our Beauty Chat LIVE tour, plus something a little different for the lips.

I really enjoy just sitting in front of the camera, doing my makeup and chatting so I hope you like it too!

THE PRODUCTS YOU LOVE TOO!

You know that feeling you get when you watch a haul video? Curiosity, excitement, that bubbly feeling you get when you go on a shopping spree... well this is how Anna and I felt whilst looking through your #BeautyChatLIVE shopping baskets.

It was so nice chatting to you all and seeing how excited you all were to make your purchases and there was definitely a pattern amongst all the stores we visited. We saw the same products over and over, some of our all-time favourites! It was great to chat with other beauty enthusiasts and so for those of you who couldn't make it I wanted to talk you through some of the must-have products that you all wanted to buy!

Quite a few of you went straight for the Oribe Dry Texturising Spray, both the mini and full size (although a lot of you had to listen to my "the bigger can is better" speech - see this post). It really is the best quick fix for flat and lifeless hair.

I wore the By Terry Ombré Blackstar in Misty Rock for two of the events and Becky, the lovely makeup artist who travelled with us used them on so many lovely girls that she made up. It wasn't just Misty Rock that was popular though, lots of you were daring and went for the purple and green shades as well as the more neutral Bronze Moon. You won't regret it, I have a review coming up on these soon - they're incredible.

The base of choice was definitely NARS Sheer Glow whilst some of you with oilier skin types opted for the new NARS All day Luminous Weightless foundation. Sheer Glow was my foundation choice throughout the whole tour and it often came up as a recommendation during the beauty chats. It's still my favourite and I'm sure it always will be.

The star of the entire show was definitely the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel and it was a sellout every night. I'm not surprised, it's an incredible cleanser that we both highly recommend. Some of you with drier, more dehydrated skin were opting for the more nourishing Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm. It seems quite a lot of you would have really enjoyed removing your makeup after #BeautyChatLIVE.

We found it so funny how many of you told us about your "terrible" skin when we thought it looked flawless, but when many of you asked about hydration and moisturising we recommended Sarah Chapman. The Intense Hydrating Booster is a twice a day saviour adding  boost of hydration into the skin and the Overnight Facial for something a little more special in the evenings.

It was so exciting seeing so many of you try our favourite products so I really hope you all enjoyed your purchases. So if we had to put together our top picks from Space NK... I guess these would be top of the list!

CREASE-PROOF BUDGET SHADOW CRAYONS

As promised my By Terry Ombre Blackstar review is coming but until then I have a budget alternative that is a serious contender in the cream shadow game.

The Bourjois ColorBands are brand new and only recently launched this month. There are six shades in the collection, but I definitely have my four favourites. 01 is black, 06 is grey but let's forget about those for a moment (not my kinda thing) and focus on the four gorgeous shades in between.

02 is a traditional brown with a slight metallic, shimmer finish and 03 is a pretty light gold that goes really nicely with the brown. 04 is slightly more pink toned, with a rose gold feel and a pretty shine when it catches the light. The star of the show for me is shade number 05 Mauve Baroque as this one is a great dupe for By Terry's Misty Rock. It's a purple-ish taupe with silver shimmer running through which gives that wet lid effect that I love so much with Misty Rock.

The formula of these are great and you have a few seconds of blending time before they set in place and stay put. There was absolutely no creasing for me, although worth remembering that I don't have oily lids. I love the ease of the giant crayons although they will need sharpening which is a bit of a pain.

These shadow "& liners" as Bourjois like to put it are only £5.99 which is a complete bargain for the quality. I have a feeling 05 is going to be hard to get hold of but if you spot one in store, grab it!

Have you tried the Bourjois ColorBands yet?

So this weekend was pretty exciting for me... On Sunday I visited Burberry HQ to preview the AW15 Burberry beauty look a day before it was announced and then on Monday I went to the actual catwalk show!

It was amazing to meet Wendy Rowe and she even did a bit of makeup on me too! I talk about it more in the video above before I try to recreate the look myself. So how do you think I did?

BROADWAY MARKET, LONDON

Having grown up in London it amazes me that I can still discover new parts I haven't explored before. A couple of weekends ago, Anna and Mark took myself and Rich to Broadway Market which is East London just by the canal. It's not huge but it has two parts to it and the whole market is very foodie, which is just my kind of thing!

There are a few flower stalls as well as accessories and baby clothes but the amount of food on offer was overwhelming, in a good way. After spotting an amazing hot dog, some intense brownies and fudge we walked around the corner to the smaller school yard part of the market where we settled on pulled pork served in a bun with homemade pickles. We also tried out some fresh juices, although Mark's choice was so much better than ours - see this vlog

I loved the whole atmosphere of the market and I would definitely go back... I need to try that hot dog! So if you're ever stuck for ideas and you're in East London on a weekend, head over to Broadway Market for something a bit different and delicious!
